Mount Takao can be accessed easily by train from central Tokyo and is a very pleasant day out to escape the bustling city center.
One can choose to climb the mountain from the very base or catch a cable car up to a point to make it easier. The mountain is an easy climb (depending on the trail selected) and shouldn’t take more than an hour or two to reach the top. If the weather prevails, Mount Fuji is also visible!
On your way up ,there is also a monkey park and a wild plant garden to enjoy.
