Itoigawa in Niigata prefecture is famous for it’s Jade which can be found on its beaches; the most famous being Hisui Kaigan. The beach itself is quite a walk from Itoigawa station (approximately 35 minutes), but a breeze if the weather suits. Test your luck at the beach and see if you can find a Jade among the pebbles.
